We’re back with another round of Aerie fam self-care! Graphic designer Carley is showing us how she treats herself and her cuticles with a fun manicure. Read on below to see how she does her manicure and how you can, too!
What are your secrets to doing the best at-home manicure?
- Practice! Practice! Practice! Be patient with yourself, especially when painting with your non-dominant hand.
- Try using higher quality nail polish or buy a new bottle. If you’re struggling with thick, sticky nail polish it might be time to purchase something new.
- Base coats and top coats are important! Your manicure will last a LOT longer.
- Most importantly, have fun with it!
What are your other tips for self-care at home right now?
I find listening to music, reading and being outside very soothing right now. Sitting on the swing in my backyard and reading a good book in the sun is one of my favorite things to do! I’m currently reading the Red Queen series by Victoria Aveyard, which my sister gave me two Christmas’s ago and I’m kicking myself for only getting to it now! I’ve finished the first one already so I’m really glad it’s a series! I’m looking forward to reading the rest.
