We’ve spoken with Aerie Photographer Alex about her turmeric drink and now we’re talking with Public Relations Coordinator Jaylen about her fave way to practice self-care. Read on below to see how to make Jaylen’s avocado hair mask!

How did you find out about how to make your own hair mask, and what do you love about it?

I found this DIY mask by watching different, fun curly hair videos on YouTube. I love this mask because it is easy and inexpensive to do. It also leaves my hair very moisturized, but, be careful with the banana! It can turn into a pain trying to get it out if you don’t blend it well or use too much.

What are your other tips for self-care at home right now?

For self-care during this time, I do the below:

a.       Workout (outside if possible)

b.       Listen to new genres of music/playlists

c.       Daily face masks

d.       Create vision/mood boards (great way to stay inspired and clear your mind)

e.       Daily FaceTime calls with friends and family
